You are a foreign scientist (researcher, teacher, post-PhD, PhD student with a contract of employment) and you are planing to work in France for more than 1 month. Your country doesn’t make part of the European Union or belongs to the new entering countries*.
The Université de Bordeaux Mobility Centre is your interlocutor for :

Please take attention : the mobility centre is not responsible for PhD students who have no contract of employment. They need a « student » visa.
The entry procedure on the French territory comprises 2 main steps :

- Obtaining a residence permit (carte de séjour)
Note : if you stay less than 3 months, you will only need your visa. If you stay more than 3 months, you will have to ask for a scientific residence permit / carte de séjour scientifique.
